JBK Homes was founded by Jake Kyriazis, a registered builder and experienced carpenter with a passion for quality residential renovations. After 15 years on the tools across new builds, extensions, and detailed home renovations in Melbourne, Jake now leads a small, multi-skilled team focused on delivering well-managed renovation projects.
We don’t outsource the entire build – we’re there, building it ourselves. With most of the work carried out in-house, we maintain quality, reduce delays, and keep things tidy throughout the job. You’ll get to know us, and we’ll treat your home with respect.
We love working on older homes, especially period and character houses – but we take just as much pride in updating a 70s brick veneer or helping bring a modern design to life. If the goal is thoughtful, practical, well-built spaces, that’s where we do our best work.

Blending Character With Function
This Hughesdale renovation involved reworking the back of a California Bungalow to create a more functional layout for a growing family, without losing the charm of the existing home.
We added a new ensuite and walk in robe, updated the bathroom, and built a full width deck to make the most of the backyard. Inside, we restored heritage trims and matched cornices while upgrading finishes to suit modern family life.
